Q: In pain - type 1 diabetic

Hi my husband has been to emerg and to ower family dr. He is a type 1 diabetic and hes in so much pain he walked into the forks of his forlift at work and hes gone for xrays and ultra sound. Said that it arthritis but hes in so much pain in both legs mostly his left leg. hes taken all kinds of pain killers and not one is helping ower family dr put him on this new pain killer ralivia and its not helping at all we can't keep going to urgent care they are not helping and ower family dr refuses to send him to a pain clinic. He can't sleep or sit still and he curls up in the fertal postion and I don't know what to do for him and its really hard to see him like this can some one please get back to me asap. give me a remidie to ease his pain a bit thanks.

He needs a stronger pain medication. I would call the doctor and ask for a different (stronger) pain medication. Not every medication works well with every person. I know what it's like to live with someone who is in chronic pain and it's not easy. Family doctors can always be changed if it gets to the point where he is not helping with the pain.
