I don't know if I will ever be able to handle the gammit of emotions I feel when she goes into depression and treats me as if I am her enemy. My first thought is to run like hell. It is very early in our relationship. She told me upfront she is bipolar..At that point it didn't scare me as my sister is also bipolar. But I don't have to deal with her on a daily basis and didn't understand what is involved. I am one of those people who attacks a problem head on and comes up with a solution, but as you know that doesn't work in this case. i don't have any idea how to handle kissing her goodnight to wake the next morning and she treats me as the enemy...to have her come back in a few hours to a day later and tell me I'm her best friend and lover...Please, anybody help me as I do love her
Thank you in advance

does she take bipolar meds? bp was new to my husband, too. even though my brother has always had it i never believed i did until recently. i finally accepted it and am now happy and taking my meds regularly. a symptom of bp is not believing that you are bipolar. what is her stance? it's very tough living with someone with bipolar. puzzld

bp
She is very upfront about having bp. she does take meds. being with her in a relationship her mood swings are just so difficult unless she is in a level mood or in a manic state, otherwise she is impossible....and even tho she takes her meds and have for a few years her mood swings change daily...
Dumbfounded by this
