Q: Improving 6/18 vision

Hey guys.
I got a letter from the army saying my right eye is 6/18 best corrected but I feel at my eye exam not much was done to try and make the glasses better.
Do you think I would benefit from going back to my opticians and asking them to concentrate on JUST trying to make my right eye better with glasses.
My left eye is fine but unless I can find a way to improve my right eye I can not join the army.

any help/suggestions are very welcome!

visually handicaped

My Visual Acuity-Right eye is 6/18 and Left eye is 2/60 wheather Iam considered for Visually Handicaped or not by goverment of India as per norms.
