There are several general causes for
impotency:
1. Vascular (20%) – atherosclerosis,
smoking, vein disorders etc.;
2. Endocrine (10%) – lack of
testosterone, increased prolactin, obesity
etc.;
3. Neurological (20%) – various
neuropathies (diabetic, alcoholic,
autonomic…), multiple sclerosis, spine
and pelvis injuries etc.;
4. Alcohol abuse (20%);
5. Medicines (10%);
6. Psychological reasons (20%) –
depression and anxiety, and
7. Severe diseases (malignancies etc.).
Young men under 40 should be sent to a
urologist for further examinations. It is
likely that you should stop drinking
alcohol (hard liquor). You didn’t tell
me which anti-malaria drugs you are taking
but certain of them may cause neurological
(neuropathy) and psychic (depression) side
effects that can disturb an erection.
