Importance of girth at base of penis to women

Hello, I love this site. I find it very inforative. I hope to learn as much as I can about the emotional and sexual needs of women so I can be a better husband. I as a nurse have always believed that with my limited knowledge of women that penis size didnt matter. I had a girlfriend brag on an ex husband right after we made love one time about how big he was. They way she rolled her eyes and smiled, I believe at least for her size matters. I was crushed and it ruined our relationship.I felt she was thinking about him when we were making love so I just couldnt countinue to feel the same. Well, I spent 2 years researching all the penis enlargeent sites and reading countless polls on womens penis size preference. I know the camp is divided between size and how you use what you have. I did manage to enlarge myself through manuel excersises from 5,5 to 6.75 inches. My question concerns girth. the polls all stated that girth was considered more important to a womens sexual satisfaction. Well the excersises for length worked but the ones for girth has only seemed to widen the base. So I now have a 5.0 girth and at the last 2 inches near the base it is 5.75. I was reading the inforation on the penis size preference chart and they were saying a 5.75 girth would be satisfiying. Does having that size for only the first 2 inches count as having a 5.75 girth- or is it only mid shaft circumfrence that counts. I a very fortunate that I have found my soul mate and I am her first. I actually have stopped doing the excersises for now because she is built sort of small. I have read some of the posts here and I dont want to get to the point that sex is too uncomfortable for her to enjoy. I just wanted to hear from some real women on the subject. if girth at the base is more iportant, or does it really matter at all. I am trying to be as tactfull and proffesional as I can. I just want to please my future wife. I do feel like I am still traumatized by exs comments. there isnt a day that goes by that I dont see her rolling her eyes and her smilling -saying "he was BIG" . well I humbly appoligize for the topic- it probably has been beat to death- and my lack of spelling and grammar.
