I have been off the birth control pill for 7 months now, and have been irregular ever since. I was slightly irregular before starting the pill, but not to the extent that I am now. Before it was 2 or 3 days off, now it's every 3 or 4 months. I've had 2 periods in the past 7 months. My husband and I lead a decently active sex life, and are trying to get pregnant, but I have no idea when or if I even ovulate. I stumbled across something about implantation and ovulation spotting, and am slightly confused because I don't know if I ovulate at all.

About 4 or 5 days ago, I had a little bit of really light pink on my toilet tissue. I just assumed that my period was coming, so I put in a pad and went about my day. When I checked it several hours later, there was an even more watered down pink spot on the pad. When I wiped, there were two, very tiny specks of blood, almost the size of the period at the end of this sentence. I haven't had any bleeding since then, but I've had some PMS symptoms such as sore breasts and back pain. I've also been cramping, but rather than in the middle of my pelvic area, the cramps are focused on one side or the other, never in the middle.

I don't know if this is implantation bleeding or ovulation spotting. Can someone please help me?
