Hello. I have a quick question about
birth control and possible implantation
bleeding. I am on loestrin 24 fe and had
just finished all the pills, the last ones
I took of course being the iron tablets.
After I finished the pills, I didn't have
a prescription refill for 2 days,
therefore I missed the first 2 pills of my
next set. After I received the pills I
started taking them normally again. Its
been nine days since my period has
finished, and seven since I started taking
birth control pills again. Today I
experienced minor cramping and slight
bleeding and was wondering if it is
possible that it is implantation bleeding.
I did have intercourse during the 2 days I
was without birth control.

When you got your new pack of pills did
you make sure to double up on them and
take two the first day and two the second
day to make up for not taking them for two
days? If you did not use a back up method
of protection, it is possible you could
fall pregnant. I would wait another week
or so and take a pregnancy test. It is
also very possible that this is just
spotting, but I would stay on the safe
side and take care of your body until you
can take an accurate test.
