BF and I have been trying to conceive since October of last year. I had a setback from Oct-Jan due to a cyst and not getting my periods, but the cyst went away and AF came back in her full glory in Jan and February lasting her usual 3-4 days...Yay me!

However, the witch decided to through me a curveball this month. Instead of my usual period starting around the 19th, AF decided to make her visit 3 DAYS EARLY and she only stayed around for 24 HOURS. The flow was very light and I had weird cramping sensations on my right side. Now Bf and I did BD on February 22-23 (a few days after my period ended), March 8-9 and again March 12-13, but I dont think I am pregnant because all of the ovulation charts says that my ovulation day would have been March 4 or 5 (We had sex March 8-9 so he would have missed it by a few days)......Today, I am still have some slight cramping on my right side...
It was here Friday night and was gone by Saturday evening! I only had to use one tampon (the regular light when I usually use the super plus because my regular flow is HEAVY)! So I dont know and I really dont wanna get my hopes up since I have not had any other symptoms! I dont think it would have been the correct timeframe for me to have conceive...Here are the dates:

2/19-2/22..AF comes for a visit and leaves

2/23-2/24...BD with BF

3/1-3/5...According to O calendars, these are the days I was most fertile and ovulated.

3/8-3/9...BD with BF

3/12-13..BD with BF

3/16-3/17...AF or whatever came early and stayed for 24 hours before leaving...

I dont know what to think...

period or implantation
I have the same problem, i missed my period this month and im pregnant. my cycles are 26 days but my last cycle like that was january 25th till 29th but February my cycle came on the 18th very light for 3/4days and was a 24 day cycle and from what i read up implantation bleed happens up to 14 days after ovulation. so i dont know whether im 5 weeks or 9 weeks and the doctors wont see me till i can see a midwife! its all confusing.

Our problems are not the same. youre pregnant...I dont think I am. You missed a period. I dont know if mines was a period at all. Very different scenarios.

Of course unless you also test for ovulation, or chart, these calculators can be off by a few days.

The general rule about ovulation is that 90% of all women ovulate between 12 and 16 days before their next AF. The average is 14 days. Thats is where the term 2WW comes from. Unfortunately this is based on a future event (next AF), so unless you have very regular cycles, it is difficult to predict.

The best tactic is to BD at least once every two days between day 10 and day 20, if your cycle is close to the magical 28 day average. Make it fun, not a chore to keep him interested. Baby making sex can get pretty boring pretty quickly.

What cysts did you have? If it was ovarian cycsts (PCOS), you have to be very sure that they are indeed gone. This is normally not the case and it needs to be managed very carefully while you are TTC.

Best of luck TTC and lots of babydust for you. At the 6 month mark of TTC, there is no reason to get worried.

My cyst was gone by January and my regular cycles came back around for both January and February. It's March that has thrown me off because it was only for one day and it was gone. I only needed one tampon.

No I do not have PCOS. My doctor already cleared me of that back in December. It was just a regular functional cyst....

i had cyst removed last year and my periods were ok up intill last few month but I am still confused to whether it was implantation or a period, sorry, but your cramping and light bleed ect... sounds like all the same symptoms I had 2 months before I found out I was preg.

do a test to me everything you described sounds like how i was from january i done 2 to 3 tests from jan to feb n all came up negative but when my last period was due (march) i done the test the day before i was due and it shown positive but the last bleed i had in feb was 2 days early and was light and lasted 3 days my january one however i had lots of cramping headaches ect and that period was 5days , everyones different but its worth checking Smile and good luck with ttc

I took a test this morning. It was negative. Oh well, I guess it was for the best then.
