Hi, I got my Implanon in late December 2011 and things have been going really normal until last month I did not get my period at all and it hasn't come so far this month either. I've taken three pregnancy tests and they are all negative. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? I don't have insurance or money to spend on a doctors visit.

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
It is possible to miss 1-2 periods while being on hormonal contraceptives. Chances of pregnancy are also possible due to chances of contraceptive failure. Sometimes, pregnancy tests done during early pregnancy can also show false negative results. If pregnancy is suspected, you should consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist at the earliest for thorough examination (to confirm pregnancy related changes/signs in body) and blood/serum HCG level test (to confirm/rule out pregnancy accurately). If pregnancy gets ruled out, further evaluation would be done to look for the underlying cause for your missed periods. Treatment as appropriate (based on examination findings and investigations results) would be started to help you regulate your periods. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Take adequate rest. Drink plenty of water. Maintain healthy diet.
Take care.
