I want to know if it is possible to be pregnant while having the Implanon inserted and all the signs of a pregnancy test come up negative. I'm not quite clear on this subject. I have heard that some always get a negative when they are positive and the positives get a negative. I've also experienced something similiar. I just really need to know if it could effect the turn out of a test. Thanks

i have never been told that. Im on Implanon but i have never had to take a pregnancy test. Implanon is supposed to be just as effective as the pill. to be completely safe, i would go to your gyno or physician to have a preggo test done if i were you.

maybe pregnant and on the implanon
honey ive been having the signs of being pregnant to. I'm only 16 and i've had the implanon in since OCT '09 and I took a test n it came up negative and one of my friends that works at the hospital said that most girls that have the implanon don't usualy have signs of being pregnant, but also it's not full efective until you have had it a year, so I think that the implanon can mess with your test bc u have those hormoans from that comming out to when u do a test, but i'm getting mine taken out just in case I am, bc I dont want to hurt the baby if I am, so I think it is better to be safe than sorry!!!!!!

shanesbaby i work in an obgyn office im a nurse have been for two years. one implanon can not makes a pregnancy test positive yes it releases hormones into your body but not hcg which is the pregnacy hormone which turns the test positive and the only thing. and the only way you can get that hormone is by being pregnant. another thing if you are pregnant bc can not hurt your baby it will not cause miscarriages or etc.

I have had nexplanon in since feb 11 it's due out feb 14 only now having sore breasts and no period for 9 weeks when they are normally quite regular. I'm a little worried as I'm having pregnancy symptoms same as I had when I was pregnant with my other 2 children. But obviously didn't have implant in then. I've been told the only way to find out I'm pregnant is to have a blood test?? Is this true and I've done 2 home kit tests that were both negative plz help!!
