Q: Immunization timing

My son is almost six months on his last well care visit the doctor examined him and gave him his shots on 10/29/08 he will have his next visit on 12/18/2008 and I believe she will give him his six month vaccinations is this to soon for him to receive these shots?

Shots cannot be given any closer than 30 days to each other. There are some shots that cannot be given any sooner than a certain date because of the particular shot.

Normally shots are given (at the hospital one) 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, and one year, which should complete the entire. It seems like the schedule that has been set for your son is ok, but never be afraid to ask more questions. Doctors can be pretty pushy and thoughtless when they are hurried (which is pretty much always) and make you feel like you don't have a choice. There is no reason why you can't wait 2 months between shots.
