I got mine at 12 too, but i could never imagine having sex at that age! i hardly know anything about sex at that age, and what i did know was from sex ed in 5th grade. I didn have sex for the first time at a young age, i was 14 and regret it.

My advice to you would be to get some form of protection, if nothing else get a condom!

The way periods work is the egg is released prior to the period. You can get pregnant if you've never had a period before simply because the egg could have already been released. If the egg is not fertilized, it is disposed of (the period).

11?? Wow.
I started my period just after my 11th birthday, and my parents told me what sex was when I was, I dunno, 9? So I knew what it was, but I still knew nothing about it. I'd been told about condoms but didn't know what one looked like, where to put it, what to do with it, and I'd certainly never seen a penis before!! In fact, I didn't really learn anything about sex until just before I started doing it myself when I went on birth control (they really need better sex ed in schools!!!) and even then I didn't learn until I was 16 that girls could have orgasms!
I think these two maybe got caught up in it, and thought they were being more 'grown up' by having sex and doing what the older kids do, when actually it was really, really silly. I guess it's not even their fault, I think they heard what sex was and weren't told the consequences or precautions to take. But then I guess people aren't expected to have sex at 11.
Where was this party?? At 11, I had parties.......with my parents present.

i never did anything outside of kissing a guy until i was 19 haha, just bc I had really really strict morals, i didn't love any of the previous boyfriends..i mean, i cared about them but..giving it up was a big deal to me and I definitely wasn't ready...then at 19 I met my current boyfriend and, things just worked for us..we've been together over 2 years now and i'm glad I waited...11 is just WAY to young..i think i was still playing with barbies haha, if a guy woulda whipped that thing out at that age..heck..i wouldn't know what to do with it!
And yes, at 11 I also had "parties" with my parents present, and boys still had "cooties" so they weren't invited to mine Smile
As young as kids are starting these days...i'm shocked...makes me scared to even wanna bring a kid into this world

As a male, and this is just my personal experience, but I do not think I was even able to ejaculate at age 11. Though stories like the one from the original poster should not be brushed off, I think it is somewhat reasonable to doubt that it actually happened. Like everyone here said, not all 11 year olds even know what sex is. Maybe the original poster had only "french kissed" the boy or played with his penis, believing this to be sex. Even if they did have sex, which I just can't imagine at that age, perhaps the boy did not ejaculate.

Whatever it was, the original poster still needs to learn a lot more about it, but she seems to have disappeared after her first post.

I'm by no means supporting an 11 year old having sex or anything, but I think it's reasonable to understand that not everyone has the same upbringing. What you did and thought as a child may not be the same as everyone else. Whether she's too young or not, it happened. Advice on what to do next is all she asked for.

Isn't it illegal to have sex if you are under 12 or something?

I blame the hormones and things in what we eat today, because both my grandmothers started their period at 17! (The one got pregnant after her very first one, lovely, huh?) I started at 13, and compared to those in my class, I was a late bloomer. Childhood seems to be getting shorter and shorter, and it makes me sad thinking my daughter will probably start earlier than I did...

Then only feed her organic meats, produce and dairy that hasn't been treated with hormones.

I wouldn't know the first place to get anything organic. I have a Walmart and Shop 'n Save (I won't buy meat from Walmart, bad experience) that I can shop at. You'd think it'd be easier living in the middle of nowhere, but it's so hard not to shop anywhere but walmart...

There should be a local farmer's market in your area (they are everywhere! especially small towns!) where they have fresh, often organic fruits and veggies.

You have room, you could also grow your own.

I've read a lot about how child obesity has a lot to do with early puberty in girls.

I think there's more to it since I got my period when I was 12 and I was skinny(however my eating habits were horrible), but it would be interesting to see how much simply making healthier choices with nutrition and exercise would better the situation.

It's REALLY hard to grow stuff here. We basically have rocks and mud. I have little garden (three tomato plants and two pepper plants) and that's in a makeshift flower box with garden soil...

I'll have to look up a farmer's market then. I guess I never worried about organics. I know our shop n save has a TINY organic section for veggies, basically just lettuce and carrots, lol.

Thanks Ingi!

come on! this girl didn't write to hear your lectures! what's done is done. it was stupid and she knows it, otherwise she wouldn't write. I want to say, Resse, that if you really WANT to have sex, there's nothing in the world that will stop you. nothing. just be smart and ALWAYS use protection, no matter what the guy says. not only will you protect yorself against pregnancy and std's, the guy will at least see you're using you head and will respect you for that. But the question is, do you really WANT having sex? did you do it cause the guy said you'd be 'cool' and 'adult' if you did? do you really like him? NOBODY will respect you more, or like you more or accept you more just because you're having sex. just the opposite, people will say you're cheap and easy. so if nobody's pressuring you, and you made this choice, make sure nobody knows about it, keep safe ALWAYS, and DON'T sleep around. if you have a boyfriend, do it ONLY with him. if you don't have one, wait. giving away pieces of yourself to everybody out there is not worth it. it stinks.

None of these girls want to hear anything we have to say unless it's exactly what they want to hear. They want us to praise them for trying to get pregnant at 15, for thinking they're capable of caring for a child at 14, for having unprotected sex at 13 and not being able to put their baby through abortion or adoption. This is not the case. I will NEVER encourage a young teenager to have unprotected sex (or sex for that matter) just like I won't ever tell them that yes, they should have a baby because it will love them forever and give them a reason to live. These girls don't come here to hear the truth, they'd rather we just nod our heads to everything they say, and we won't go along with it.
