Subject: feedback re: Ileostomy reversal followed by chemo
Date: 01/16/2009
I have had chemo and an ileostomy following stage 4 colon cancer. There were metastases to my liver and lung. Following treatment all had been irradicated but recently there has been a small area in my lung that has returned. My doctor at Sloan Kettering would like to re-connect my colon and then plans to resume chemo in two months. My concern is that I'm not sure if I will feel well enough following ileostomy reversal to procede with chemo. My doctor said I should be fine.

Has anyone had a reversal followed by Chemo? I wonder if you would be kind enough to share your experience with me. It may help me decide what to do.

Thank you.

yes you can
It all depends on your psychic readiness to proceed. If your doctor said that you can do athis fter the Ileostomy reversal than he must know what he says.
Anyways good luck and keep your head high.
