Hello Everyone,
I am new to this but I have been doing
much reading and found it very
interesting. I have has a problem for
about 4 years now and I am very confused
about. My problem is, I have been bloated
and occasionally constipated for the past
four years now, but now I have noticed
that the left side of my abdomen is
slightly larger than the right, and even
after a b/m I always have this rope like
feeling going from the top of my rib cag
on the left side only all the way to the
bottom of my lower left abdomen. There is
no blood, I am not loosing weight my b/m
are normal size. Some times the problem
isn't so bad, but sometimes my stomach
gets so bloated and makes rubbling noises
and I have alot of flatulence. Sometimes
the upper abdominal area blows up too.
The bloating seems to change area from
time to time. I'm not always bloated in
just one part of my stomach. So you have
any idea what this could be. I have had
normal blood test, Abdominal sonogram
which also was normal. Even had a blood
test for h pylori which too was negative.
If anyone has any idea, Please email me
and let me know. Many thanks, and God
bless.

Hey! I don't have an answer but I would
like to add that I am having almost the
exact same problems. I've been having a
sharp pain in the lower left side of my
abdomen, and it is noticeably swollen.
This only started about a week ago. It's
not crippling pain but it is enough, and i
find it difficult to work with (i am a
waitress). Throughout middle school and
high school I used to get an
overwhelmingly sharp pain in my lower
abdomen that would force me to stop
whatever I was doing and bend over. These
have not happened to me a lot recently,
but the pain is similar, just not as bad.
I haven't been keeping track of my poos,
but i know I haven't been able to do one
today or yesterday. I also have the rope
feeling Brunigirl mentioned. This seems
like it might be Irritable Bowel Syndrome,
but I would like some sort of
confirmation. Any insights or advice (my
mother told me to drink cranberry juice)
would be very helpful.

Dear dissukissu,
I got your email this morning. Now, Im no
expert, but from doing alot of reading and
from what i have understood, a sharp pain
in the lower left side has indicated a
cyst on the ovary. My sister had that
when she was 18. She had it removed and
is fine. I don't know if you have
insurance or not, but you should see a
Gyno, which I'm sure you know. Let me
know how this turns out for you.
Take care,

Thank you for the prompt reply! I'm sorry
it took ME so long, I was having account
issues.
At any rate, I called my mom and she got
me a doctors appointment, and it really
turns out that I have a kidney infection.
I got some antibiotics and a laxative. I'm
not sure how much constipation has to do
with a UTI, but I'm glad it's not anything
more serious. I'm going back in tomorrow,
for them to check some things or
something. I have an appointment with a
gyno coming up in a bit anyway though,
just in case there is a possibility of a
cyst because I have had those pains
frequently in the past. :S Thank you for
your help, and I hope your health comes
around <3

I'm glad to hear that things are coming
along for you. If you get a chance let me
know how your gyno appt. goes. In the
mean time take care of yourself.
