For honestly my entire life I have suffered with irregular bowels. Over the past ten years, I have had GI series and to no avail, have been diagnosed as having a nervous stomach. The thing I am normally pretty regular with bowel movemenst, once a day, but for weeks at a time I will have nothing but diarrhea. Though I know the foods that trigger me and avoid them, I still have found no relief. Recently, my condition has worsened to the point where over the counter medications do not even touch the problem. I'm extremely concerned because I just because a teacher and for anyone who knows, a teacher can not just leave the classroom unattended to go to the bathroom. When I feel diarrhea symptoms coming on, sweating, bloating, dry mouth, I have to get to a bathroom within 5 minutes, otherwise I'm in trouble.

Does anyone have any suggestions, techniques to help ease my pain?

Hmmm... that IS troubling.

Have you sought some advice for the EMOTIONAL stuff going on???

Often, intestinal issues are reflections of our emotional lives. For example, I get constipated, and often "hold on" to my sh*t...(excuse the colloquialism). I have a hard time of letting go of anger and upset. THat's me...on your side, it seems that you've got an emotional flow that you can't stop. MAybe it's about work and giving to the children too much of yourself? Maybe it's difficulty in setting boundaries?

So, what is "runny" for you? I've found that people who have been trained in colonics and colon cleansing are often very helpful in exploring these issues. If Allopathic medicine isn't working for you, are you interested in looking at the integral reasons for this health concern?
