I'm 19 and engaged, and my fiancee and I want to have a baby. However, I have had a forced abortion and just left a very abusive home where I was kicked repeatedly in the vagina and had between my legs (in the vaginal region) stabbed with a piece of PVC pipe. I also have endometriosis and fibroid tumors from my mother. My fiancee really wants to have a baby and I was wondering if there was a chance that I might be infertile, or that if I did get pregnant that I would have a miscarriage early in the pregnancy.

Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum!

I am really sorry to hear about all this. Well, whether you are fertile or not can only be known by requisite tests for it. Since you have missed your periods, take a pregnancy test or go for an ultrasound for confirmation. If pregnancy test is negative then you will need to run PAP, ultrasound, hysterosalpingogram etc for confirmed diagnosis. Hope this helps. Take care!
