I am in a similar situation, and I have been FREAKING out. I'm driving my boyfriend crazy because he thinks I am fine. I was suppose to take my first pill on a Saturday, but was out of town. I took it right when I got home, so I was 3.5 hours late taking it. I made sure to use protecting that night and the next day, but haven't been using condoms since. EVer since that last Saturday, I've been taking them at the regular time, 7:00. Should I be worried?

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
If this is not your first pill pack use, you can relax and continue to take the birth control pills at scheduled time daily. If this is your first pill pack use, then you could be at risk for pregnancy if you have been sexually active without protection within first 2-3 weeks of getting started on the pill pack. Wait and watch for your withdrawal bleeding/period that should occur during the placebo pill week. If you miss your periods, or if you get abnormal periods, or if you develop any new symptoms suggestive of pregnancy, then consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist for thorough examination (to confirm pregnancy related changes/signs in body) and blood/serum HCG level test (to confirm/rule out pregnancy accurately). Stop the use of hormonal contraceptive if pregnancy is suspected, or if pregnancy gets confirmed. Visit your doctor/gynecologist for further clarification and assistance.
Take care.
