I think that I should go to an urologist with my problem but because I have been able to resolve a few medical issues by doing online research and asking questions, I would like to try going that route first.
I'm mid-20's male of reasonably good health.
About 5 months ago a problem appeared. I started waking up almost every night with a need to go to a washroom to pee. As far as I know, there were no changes of any kind in my lifestyle or kinds of food or liquids I consumed. I never had to get up at night before and didn't pay much attention to it when it started - I thought that issue was only temporary and would go away on its own. After it didn't go away for about 2 weeks, I decided to drink less liquids before going to bed. However, it didn't help at all and I still was waking up at night.
About 3 months ago another problem started. When I would go to washroom to stool, my anus started stinging a little bit. That DID happen before but since it used to appear randomly every few months, never lasted for more than a couple of days and didn't really bother me, I ignored it expecting it to go away on its own like it always did before. However, within about a month after that issue started, some blood started appearing on paper when I was wiping myself, and slight stinging has grown into much more troublesome and painful feeling when I would go to stool. This continues to this day. Sometimes it hurts less, sometimes it hurts more, and there are days when there's just a little blood on paper and also days when there's a significant amound of blood.
I don't know how important these following details are but I think it's definitely relevant. My anus hurts the most when I'm just starting to push the fecali out, and then gradually becomess smaller but doesn't actually go away. The pain and stinging remind me somewhat of a feeling when I wet a cut wound with tap water. The pain feels only on the outside of anus rather than inside the body. I only feel the pain and stinging when I'm during "the process" in the washroom. However, what I noticed is that my anus started itching sometimes during the day (which I don't recall happening before).
I've read online what I could find about these symptons but haven't really figured out what could it be, although the closest match is that I got some kind of infection. What else I could add... I seriously doubt that it's STD, since I don't sleep around and have only had one sex partner over the past several years, and given the background of our relationship, it's pretty much dismissed that she has anything to do with it.
Does anybody know what could this be and how to get rid of it?
I described the problem with all the details that I considered to be relevant. I'm willing to add more information if it's necessary.
Thanks in advance for your time.
