i have had a red bump on the bottom of my nose where it meets my upper lip for about a year. i thought it was a pimple because white stringy stuff comes out kindve like white heads and if i mess with it too much it starts to bleed? then i thought it might be a wart, but i was told white stringy stuff doesn't come out of warts? so what could it be?

This lump seems like a sebaceous cyst. A sebaceous cyst is a closed sac occurring just under the skin which contains a "pasty" or "cheesy" looking substance called keratin.They may occur anywhere on body but scalp, ears, back, face, and upper arm, are common sites for sebaceous cysts.

I suggest you to get it evaluated from a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis.
