Alright so, lately I've been drinking a LOT of water. You know those 32oz Nalgene water bottles? Yesterday I drank 4 of those. Two at noon, and then another at 5 PM, and another at 11 PM ( a little bit before I went to sleep ) and I hadn't gone to the bathroom yet. I took an Ambien because I was having a little bit of trouble getting to sleep, so I slept through the entire night.

When I woke up, there was a spot on the bed next to me that felt pretty wet when I touched it. It wasn't even CLOSE to the side I sleep on. I put my fingers on it and smelled it and it didn't smell like anything. There weren't any stains on my boxers or even wet spots at all. It couldn't have "slipped out" during the night because there are two buttons that close that front pouch thing. What's going on? I'm not saying this is some sort of twilight thing but I am curious.. I wasn't drinking anything last night and the spot was at my chest area.

If this is an episode of bed-wetting it probably have resulted from combination of two factors, consumption of a large amount of water before sleep, and use of sleeping pills.
Sleeping tablets can make you sleep so soundly that you do not wake up when your bladder is full, and for drinking water try to avoid it right before or soon before sleep.
If you drink plenty of water because of excessive thirst, you may need to check for diabetes.
Also, diabetes can be a cause for bed-wetting in adults.
Stress and anxiety, enlarged prostate gland, sleep apnea are all possible causes for bed-wetting.

Talk with your physician if this happens again and use the sleeping pills only when you really need it!

Best wishes!
