Hi, I have been on Loseasonique for over a year, but I skipped a few pills (not consecutively) during Sept '11 (esp when I suspected pregnancy). It's hard to date when I possibly conceived, but I had weird feelings in my uterus after having unprotected sex 2x around 9/23 & some slight spotting. Now it's 10/15, & I am 7 days late for my period (this past week was when I was supposed to get a quarterly period). Normally when I don't take hormone pills during my period week, I bleed. So now I have had no period, have had slight cramping that feels milder than period cramps, I have had headaches, my chest and face are flushed (have been flushed for 3 wks now), I have a backache, I have vivid bluish veins appearing on my chest, arms, thighs, and abdomen, my nipples are darker, and I have been exhausted after doing normal activities for about 3 wks. However, I keep getting negative HPTs. Could my two, small uterine fibroids be causing these symtoms? Should I keep taking BCPs tomorrow?

Hello,

Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out. Since the pregnancy tests have come out negative, so it is unlikely that they are wrong. You can however get serum HCG test or ultrasound uterus done which are more specific than urine pregnancy tests.

Regarding the other causes it can be due to stress and anxiety, depression, over exercising, sudden weight loss or gain (obesity), thyroid disorders and hormonal imbalance due to polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) or fibroid uterus which you already have. I’ll suggest you to consult a gynecologist as it is not possible to diagnose online.

I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
