Q: I'm pregnant!

I just wanted to share the fact that I found out I was pregnant yesterday morning! It was our 2 year wedding anniversary - how crazy is that? I couldn't think of a better time for us to find out! I gave him a card that said, "To my love... my best friend... my soul mate," and under it I wrote in, "...and my baby's daddy! I love you babe" and I slipped the pregnancy test behind the card in the envelope. I also gave him the book, "Pregnancy sucks for men" and a baby name book Smile He was SO shocked and happy and excited. He gets more and more excited as the time goes on. I don't know if you remember, but although I can't really claim we were trying to conceive, we weren't trying NOT to have a baby. He told me he feels like this is exactly what was supposed to happen and couldn't be more perfect. I love my babe!

I can't sleep and I'm going to go to the doctor today and confirm my pregnancy. I'm certain I'm only four weeks along, but I am SO excited and happy! Very Happy

Thanks so much everyone!

Well, Lance would really like it to be a boy, Laura. I'd like for it to be a girl (my mom REALLY wants a granddaughter), but to be honest ALL I have is boy vibes Very Happy I can't picture us with anything BUT a little baby boy.

I just can't wait. I'm so, so happy and excited!

I was convinced Alyvia was a boy up until the day I had my ultrasound. I even called her "he" and "him" when I talked about her! It was such a surprise when the ultrasound technician started pointing out her vagina. Maybe you're really having a girl!

We're hoping for a boy this time around, so obviously I'm leaning that way again, but my senses were wrong last time so I don't really trust myself.

How are you feeling? Any different yet?

Thanks gemskimarie Very Happy I just wanted to make sure he was excited.

Ahhh Laura, don't get my hopes up! Wink I hope you get your boy! Did you try any "get pregnant with a boy" techniques while TTC? The hard part will be thinking of a boy name thats as pretty as Alyvia's. I might steal it, so watchhh out!

I do feel different. At first all it was was the fact that my urine had a slightly different odor. I crossed my fingers it wasn't a UTI and kept moving on, since alllll the rest of the months pregnancy never happened for us. That was the only change before I found out, but then again we found out really early. I took the test on a whim like five days early, and I have a short cycle! I still can't believe it was positive, and even positive on the Dr's office pee-test strip today (4 days early)! I think I might pick up some more tests just so I can watch that line darken and darken. But now, I feel the sides of my boobs feeling really tender and sore, and I've felt restless and groggy all day. I also have to pee a lot. Nothing to complain about too bad yet, though!

My test yesterday... the line popped up after only one minute! I peeked, and snatched that thing up from the counter and said "What?!"

Actually we were TTC for about a year, and my cycle was still really messed up from breastfeeding. I didn't successfully wean my daughter until after I was pregnant, so I'd go months at a time between periods. I was convinced I wasn't ovulating at all, so nobody was more shocked than me when the second line showed up! No special positions for us, really... just good ol' sex!

Doesn't that second line just melt your heart? I'd bought a three pack of tests and the first was positive, so the next day and the day after I kept testing to make sure I wasn't delisional.

My husband's already shot down my favorite boy's name, so that's still up in the air. I have another girl's name picked out, but I don't know if he'll go for it.

I hope your first trimester is easy on you! Maybe you'll get lucky and won't get sick at all!

Ahhh! Will it be your first one for this pregnancy as well? It seems like I read that you two were finally pregnant again a while ago. What time is yours? Mines at 10:00am. Maybe we can compare what all goes on Very Happy
