I have suffered from debilitating anxiety and panic attacks on and off for a three year period. I have been almost completely anxiety free now for 9 months. my goal is to eradicate all anxiety, panic problems and also depression from as many people as I can. I don't want anything from you. I have found the way out of this painful affliction and I just want to show all people the way. I went out and I bought the book "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle and also started practicing Vipassana (mindfulness meditation). I am not promoting or selling anything!! take it or leave it. I suggest that you find this book online for free or really cheap somehow. also learn as much as you can about vipassana (mindfulness meditation) as you can. next start practicing it 15-20 minutes a day every day. try all of this from two to three weeks and let me know how you feel. I challenge you who have the worst anxiety in the world, this will significantly reduce it. I promise. but only mindfulness meditation and no other type for now. there are many free sources for mindfulness meditaiton on the internet. Try to google “mindfulness in plain English” or just mindfulness meditation. please reply with any questions of comments. i am more than happy to help you all. I promise that these things will significantly reduce your anxiety very quickly. even if you don't read power of now just practice the meditation. it is the meditation that the Buddha used to obtain enlightenment so just imagine what it will do to you.
I used to get panic attacks where you feel like you are dying. I even got them from medications that I was put on over a 4 year period of time! Whatever you can find to help - use it! I'm glad you have found something and many times I wish our minds did not have to be sick like our bodies do! But then again, this is all part of this Life Experience and someday we will understand why these things have happened to us, but in the meantime, check out everything that can help you! Good luck!
