Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum

Gall stones can block the normal flow of bile(secretion of gall bladder)and can obstruct any of the ducts leading to inflammation of gall bladder or of the ducts. It can further lead to other complications as cholangitis, jaundice or rupture.Since the size of gall stones is increasing and also they are multiple in number it is advisable to get the surgery done for removal.
The surgery is a good option and usually the patient recovers well after that. After the surgery diet modification is required.Kindly visit your treating doctor for evaluation.

Take Care!
