I have large blood clots during my period and I am bleeding longer than usual. I am 46. Am I experiencing peri-menopause? I don't have cramps and I feel a great relief when the clots come out. I don't have anymore pain. I plan to see my GYN later this month. What is happening?

maybe as you are approaching menopause, your homones are playing up a bit, and causing the symptoms you describe.
Blood clots are quite usual for some women, it is often part of uterus lining that has not broken down, coming out.
but GYN will be best person to advise you.
