I have been contipated for about a week now.
I have been constipated before, but this feels different.
I feel absolutely no hunger and no bloating,no pain and no need to go to the bathroom.
When I go to the bathroom,it feels like I can't push that hard no matter how hard I try.
Whenever I try to go to the bathroom all that comes out is very very soft and its in really tiny ammounts, very thin stools.
I am in no pain, and don't feel the need to go to the bathroom, but I am worried because I eat regularly and drink a lot of water.
I tried taking one stool softener but it didn't do anything.
What should I do?
I'm a 13 year old girl, not sure if they display that.

Are you currently under a lot of stress in any way? Many times stress will cause the muscles in the colon to constrict which can cause the smaller stools and this can also make the colon not work as well as it should. If i were in your shoes i would totally cut out all white flour and switch to either whole grain or sprouted grain foods. Eat lots of fresh unprocessed foods because a lot of the fiber in foods is broken down during processing. I'd also eat lots of greens because they help balance the intestinal flora.

Last but not least, i would practice deep breathing exercises (where you keep your shoulders still and relaxed and when you inhale you push your belly out and imagine the breath is going down into your abdomen), and abdominal massage (where you use your hands to rub your abdomen in a circular motion as well as pushing on your abdomen with your finger tips and moving them around gently.) Both things can help the muscles of the colon relax and begin to function correctly.

I hope those ideas help. I'm no doctor, but I have studied nutrition, massage and breathing techniques and those are totally all the things I would do. Best of luck! Smile
