I have cramps, night only, right outside my shins!

I am a 53 year old woman. Every night, for the most part, on just the outside of my shins, I have severe pain/cramps. What is this and what is it caused by? And how can I help it??? Please help. Thank you very much! doctor

I read your question and i understand your concern. Muscle cramps at night can be a mere muscle spasm, a vascular pathology or age related arthralgias. Take some low doses of chloroquine with advil and see if it helps. Talk to yoru doctor and let them have a look and assess.
