I was 16 years old when my now husband and I got Chlamydia. We did not catch it till I was 18 years old and both had to be treated twice to cure it. Then I repetitively got the BV infection after wards, and a couple Yeast infections. I was told by Plan Parenthood that since I had Chlamydia so long at such a young age I should expect continuous problems. I am now 21 years old and fear seeing a OBGYN (my appointment is a month away) to hear the actual damage. But I kind of want to get an idea what to expect (or may hear) so I don't have too much of a panic attack. I am honestly curious to a few things. Such as... but not limited to. Is there any form of medication to help "repair" the damage? How expensive is it for fertility help? Does it hurt a mans chances of "contributing" to becoming pregnant? Since I had it before will I get it at anytime or does it only come from someone else? (Plan parenthood said for me it could come back anytime and I didn't know if that was true).
