Question I started my period on 6/1/12. I bled for a full 7 days (usually bleed for only 3-5). Then to my surprise I continued to spot until 6/11/12. I also experienced breast tenderness. The day after I stopped spotting I took a pregnancy test and the result was positive. Could this be a false positive? My last time being sexually active was about a month ago & I had a normal period after that time.

If you followed the instructions, especially the time you had to wait to read the results, and the test did not reach its expiry date yet, it is likely to be a good result. There is nothing in your pee that can cause a positive, except pregnancy.

Have you done a second test with a different make of test?

False Positive???
No I haven't. I'm most likely just going to set up an appointment with my OBGYN. Thank you Smile I was just a bit confused because I've had longer periods than normal before, but I never tested positive for pregnancy at those times.

I was 3 days laye for my cycle. I took three clear blue easy plus tests, all came back with a faint positive. Read instr. No matter how faint, a positive is a positive. AF came a day later. Very disappointed. What?... Is all I kept thinking.has anyone experienced this. I am too disappointed right now after trying for 5months.
