Hi, I had sex during my fertility and ovulation window. After being celibate for 2 years. During the time around when the implantation bleeding should take place, I began to bleed, firstly very dark brown almost blackish blood. But before that time, I had pregnancy/period symptoms like nausea, bloating, back pain, headaches, frequent urinating and my sense of smell was off the chain. also I was craving coffee ( Am a tea drinker - and my two fav teas made me gag). Then I began my period almost 8 days early - but this time it was lighter and not much pain but it did last 6 days. Afterwards, when my normal period was supposed to come, I went back to my symptoms. So I decided to take a pregnancy test - which showed negative. Anyways, I am still with the same symptoms. Only now, sleeping is impossible. I am constantly turning at night and pee much more at night than during the day. I also have tons of gas and feel constipated. I just feel pregnant. But am tooo scared to take another test- I really want this baby (this would be my first child and I am 29 years)!!!!!! Also, if it helps, I had a baby dream twice and I dreamt of snakes (old wives tale from my grandmother lol). Should I just wait till my next period, because at this point I dont know what to do? I cant go to a doctor because I just moved to a new country and over here getting medical supplies like the folic acid and prenatals you need to be at least 8 or 9 weeks (by my calculations I am in my 5 week). What to do, Please help?!!!!

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
If you have been sexually active during your fertile days (without protection or if you are not on any form of birth control measures) then chances of pregnancy cannot be ruled out. The symptoms that you describe (lighter periods, nausea, bloating, backpain, headache, food cravings, sensitivity to smell, frequent urination, difficult falling asleep, feeling gassy, constipation) could be suggestive of possibility of pregnancy. If pregnancy is suspected, look out for development of any new symptoms. Urine pregnancy test kits usually start showing positive results after about 20 days post-conception (roughly corresponding to about a week after your missed periods). Wait and watch for your periods. If you do not get your periods within 10 days of expected period dates, or if you get abnormal periods, or if you develop symptoms suggestive of pregnancy, you should consider visiting your gynecologist for thorough examination (to confirm pregnancy related changes/signs in body) and blood/serum HCG level test (to confirm/rule out pregnancy accurately as early as 11 days post-conception). Take adequate rest. Drink plenty of water. Maintain healthy diet.
Take care.

Oh Thank you. I will wait and see what happens this month and then make an appointment to see a doctor. Since I had my period last month, I am just waiting to get this month over with.
