Defeke,
Since a night dental appliance (night guard) is a lot cheaper than having braces, you might want to get a guard and see if it takes care of your problem well enough for you to get by in school.
If the guard doesn't work, or you feel your teeth are significantly crooked, and would like to have them straightened, then have the braces put on. But, braces are a big investment, not only in money, but in time and effort.
Good luck.
