Hi. I'm an 18 year old virgin, thinking about sex with my first boyfriend.
I use to get horny, masturbate and such. But lately I can't feel anything!
I can't get turned on at all and I don't feel any pleasure when my boyfriend touches or licks me there. I really like him, so I don't feel like that's the problem. Even when I touch myself, I feel nothing..which is so strange because I use to.

I remember before this relationship, when I use to masturbate I'd go through phases where I'd be horny quite often, then phases where I wouldn't feel horny at all for about a month or so. So maybe this is just one of those phases?
I want to have sex, but I don't want my first time to be unenjoyable.

Is this something I should see a doctor about? Or should I just wait it out and hope my sexual desire comes back?

It will differ over various times of your menstrual cycle. In general women is most horny in their fertile phase, sometimes also before their periods.

Stress, worry, lack of sleep, bad body image, prescription medicines, drugs, alcohol and smoking can also cause this.

And as you say, we all go through phases in our life where we are more horny and sexual, and other times less so.
