I am unable to raise/lift my right index finger. If I try to point, my other fingers cooperate but my index finger doesn't. It's a great bother to me mentally. What could be the problem? It sometimes feels that it is affecting my entire right hand. There is no pain.

i will assume you have cut that finger deeply at some point, from lets say a fight, or punching a wall, etc... if so, you have damaged the ligament that holds that finger erect, therefore it will continue to droop down and not follow the lead of the other fingers....maybe helped by surgery
