I am trying to find out when i got pregnant. I had sex on the 28th of october and took the morning after pill on the 30th of october then I had my period on the 14th of november my periods are always about 29 days apart. then i had sex all thanksgiving week and of and on until the last time being new years day. on the 11th of December I had a 3 days of a light period Christmas day my sister in law told me i looked pregnant this would be my second child. the pregnancy test i took on the 26 th of december said negative. i was due to have my period on the 8th of January and took a pregnancy test that night and it was positive. when do you think I got pregnant?

Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum!

It is very difficult to predict the duration of pregnancy based on a urine test. If we consider Dec 11th as your last period date, then you conceived sometime toward end of Dec—25th or 26th or around that. This is most likely.

However, if you had an unusually light period, then considering the fact that some women do bleed on the day of their period in early pregnancy, you could have conceived about 14 days before Dec 11th. Hope this helps. Take care!
