I have been on my period regularly, and monday i started bleeding like a brownish color.
It was only on day.
i am sexually active but have been extra careful.
I dont think im pregnant, so what else could be going on?

Especially eHealthy

amberleigh, brown blood normally indicates older blood. Not all menstrual debris will come out of your uterus during your period. A bit can stay behind. When you have sex or masturbate, your orgasm can push this old brown blood out. Was this when it happened?

Other things can also make it come out just before or after your period.

If you are worried, speak to a doctor.
