Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum

It is advised to wait at least 4 to 6 weeks after hysterectomy so that the healing had occured.After a complete examination by a Gynaecologist of the stitches and affirmation only it should be resumed as chances of infection are there.Even after 6 weeks some woman can have pain during intercourse,abdomen may feel bruised and experience vaginal dryness due to estrogen deficiency.
When having intercourse start slowly,use lots of lubricant as KY Jelly.Avoid use of Petroleum jelly as it can again lead to infection.Once you are pysically,mentally and emotionally prepared then go for it.
