i had a vaginal hysterectomy do i get my periods or not

No, your Uterus is gone...But it sure surprised me coming out of surgery and finding that I was having it...Quite a shock....I guess it was to be called the "last hurrah".... Very Happy

HYSTERECTOMY
I HAD MY CERVIC AND UTERUS REMOVE TWO WEEKS AGO AND I FEEL LIKE I COULD GO BACK TO WORK IT IS A VERY FULL ON JOB AS FAR AS PUSHING AND CLIMBING JOB DO YOU THINK IT WOULD BE RIGHT AS MY DOCTOR TOLD ME NOTHING WHEN I WAS DISCHARGED FROM HOSPITAL ONLY GO BACK AND SEE HIM IN SIX WEEKS

I would not go back to work until he releases you...Call his office and see what they say...The problem is we could feel great, but we have internal and outer (top of the vagina), stitches to heal...Your cervix is gone and that means they stitched you up...You cannot strain yourself...Be sure and call him and take it easy...
