I am 58 and have suffered with IBS since clinical depression (complete physical & emotional breakdown)2002, menopause & subsequently CFS. I was taking 187.5mg fluorexitin for 3-4yrs, but currently 112.5mg. I had FULL hysterectomy to remove a large ovarian cyst in 2007 - recovery very slow due to CFS IBS & depression. IBS now severe - GP not concerned. Does serotonin in medication make gut over reactive and / or post hysterectomy did the procedure cause increased sensitivity?
