I was recently in the hospital for a blood clot in the left lung. The hsopital performed a CT Scan to find out where the clot originated and they found something in my right abdomen.
At this point they did a vaginal ultrasound and the results were "two masslike rigt adnexal structures with blood fluid levels not previously present"
The right ovary measures 6.4 cm likely 0.2 cm x 3.9 cm with complex masses measuring 2.8 cm x 1.7 cm x 2.5 cm, 3.4 cm x 2.1 cm x 2.9 cm, and 2.5 cm x 2.6 cm x 1.9 cm in addition to a small cyst measuring 1.3 cm x 0.9 cm x 1.1 cm. There is some free fluid adjacent to the right ovary.

Since this diagnosis, I have been to an OB/ Oncologist and he wants to remove the mass and perform a complete hysterectomy ASAP. When I asked him if he is concerned about cancer, he said absolutely yes. He advises not to wait and told me that it is not posiible to biopsy the tumors as if they rupture they can spread quickly.

Should I consult another OB/oncologist before I undergo such a big procedure? Feeling very confused at this time and not sure what other questions I should be asking. Most of the questions I have seen to ask the Dr. are post surgery and treatments.

Thanks in advance.
K
