Hi I am a newcomer to the website. I have been suffering with thyroid disease for over 10yrs now. I take 200mcgs thyroxine per day, and have been told that my TSH readings are good. I exercise through yoga and swimming (too much aerobic exercise brings on severe joint pains!) but these exercises seem to work for me. I eat a healthy diet ... after all these years of weight watching, i could write my own diet book Rolling Eyes Still, I have a great deal of trouble maintaining a healthy weight! I can lose approx 12pds and keep it off for a while, then for no good reason it creeps back on. Have you any ideas how I can tackle this? I would appreciate any advice.

Have you tried adding a t-3 medication such as cytomel to your regimen? I have read extensively that thyroid therapy treatment is most effective when there is a combination of t-3 and t-4 hormones, the most common hormones the thyroid produces.
