Q: Hypotension symptoms ?

I'm 53, fit and slim and have been an athlete most of my life, sometimes getting lazy.

I have problems at the moment in that I'm usually tired, grabbing naps, my urine is often strong and I get dizzy spells if I stand up quickly. The most worrying thing is that I often wake in the early hours feeling very odd, like my body is 'trying to yawn' (quite anxious) and I can't get back to sleep. Hy heartbeat is very 'pronounced' at this time. I live a fairly stress free life.

I'm in work (school science dept) and I've just tested my BP and it's 94/63 with a HR of 52.

I will see my GP but what are your thoughts, and is there anything I can do to help the situation. I don't feel thirst very well and may well be dehydrated a lot of the time. I've also had low iron before.

Any help appreciated.

An update.

I've concentrated on drinking lots of electrolytic fluid and water and I've taken iron daily in the form of Feroglobin.

Things are much improved with blood pressure always above 100/63 and my symptoms of tiredness and headaches being much improved.

I suspect dehydration, a healthy cardiovascular system and a slow heartbeat were the causes of the problem.
