I have been having alot of weird symptoms lately. I will eat a good sized meal and thirty minutes later I will feel hungry again. My blood sugar has dropped really low before for no apparent reason.

I have also had alot of nausea and fatigue lately. And sometimes I will just get so thirsty and I can never really quench my thirst. I'm only 16, so I don't know if I could be diabetic, but my dad is and my great granddad was, so I am at risk.

I was also having a very weird tingling and numb sensation in my arms and face a couple of weeks ago. It will come and go suddenly too. Does anyone know what it might be?

Active User, very eHealthy
You need to get a fasting blood sugar test done, and a A1C blood test which will tell you what your average blood sugars have been for the last 3 months. Those are both good indicators of what your blood sugar levels are like. Good luck.

You need to see your doctor. They need to do some blood work and check your glucose levels. This is a simple blood test. If they are elevated the doctor will probably have you fast and get the blood test again. You have a family history of diabetes so there is a possibility that you are diabetic. You have described 2 of the key symptoms of diabetes - polyphagia (constant hunger) and polydipsia (frequent thirst). Frequent urination is the 3rd common sympton (polyuria). You need to tell your parents and get in to see a doctor. Diabetes can cause many problems with other organs in the body if it is not treated.

I am actually going to see a doctor tomorrow, so maybe they can figure something out then. I will see what he thinks.
