As I write this, I am making an appointment for my doctor. Today, while getting a pedicure, I started feeling really weird: I was getting hot, started sweating profusely, I thought I was going to throw up, I thought I was going to have a bowel movement, I started shaking violently, my vision and hearing went and I thought I was going to pass out. Thankfully there was a school nurse in the shop who helped me through. She was asking me questions and asked if I was hypoglycemic. I have never been tested, but this is something that has happened in the past, but not to this severity. When I was younger, I would have these black out moments, where I would lose my vision. It would start from the outer edge of my sight, and would slowly creep across my eye until I was completely, temporarily blind. I would get lightheaded and have to sit down. As I have gotten older, it has gotten worse. Now, I have the moments, the room feels liks it spinning, and all the symptoms above happen, with the exception of the shaking violently. That is new. I also get this way when I have an IBS attack.
I don't know if it is hypoglycemia, or just hyperventilation. At the time this occurred, the pedicurist was working on an ingrown toenail which turned out to be really painful and deep.
I did have breakfast, probably not enough admittedly.
What exactly is this and how do I keep this from happening?
Thanks
