My daughter is 5 years old and has ketonic hypoglycemia, which we control with diet. lately, infrequently and with no real reason, she will complain her stomach hurt and will eventually throw up and then 100% feel better. Sat. night we were out and she was up fairly late, and we had to wake her from sleep to drive home (3am). the stomach pain started in the car and when we got home I gave her a snack. a few minutes later she threw up again, felt better and slept the rest of the night.
Can anyone help me understand this??? should I be concerned???

hypoglycemia
I am 45 yrs old and also have the same problem,it is usually if i wake up to early, for some reason my sugar just won't regulate that early in the morning, i have also had it happen during the day if i have taken a nap. My husband usually gets me sweet tea and a cheese sandwich,I literally have to choke it down because my stomach hurts and i am so nauseated. I haven't found anything that works or stops it from happening. You sort of just have to live with it. My suggestion is if your planning on waking her up to have a glass of juice ready before she starts to move around.
