Q: Hypoglycemia and tingling fingers?

Is it possible to have the symptom of tingling fingers with hypoglycemia but without diabetes?

Is it possible for a person to have both hypoglycemia and (untreated) diabetes? Low blood sugar but also high blood sugar? It's not making sense to me.

I'm going to get tested tommorrow for diabetes, but I've had the symptom of the tingling fingers and I'm a little nervous.

I'm 100% I have/had hypoglycemia as of now, and I still do. Ever since I had symptoms of hypoglycemia (since last November) I've had thirst as a symptom. My doctor tested me for diabetes and nothing became of it, and my homeopath says that thirst is a normal symptom of hypoglycemia.

Also, my urine showed high ketones yesterday.

Many factors can affect ketones in your urine, including your diet/activity levels or time of day even.

I suffer both high and low blood sugar, but I'm not diagnosed diabetic as my blood sugar doesn't stay high at the two hour mark. It could be insulin resistance causing an initial high blood sugar, before excess insulin kicks in. Bad diet can cause this.

Have you been diagnosed with hypoglycemia (low blood sugar 2.4 mmol or under)?

Symptoms can be common to many conditions, so keep an open mind and make sure you tell your doctors everything so they can investigate and find the real cause.
