Hyper extension fracture?

I hyperextended my left thumb yesterday, and cried because of the pain. I heard it crack 7 times on the way back. Anyways, today I got home from work and examines my thumb. Lack of motion, severe pains, etc. and the part of my palm near my thumb is purple. My other fingers on my left hand hurts when I try to use them. Does anyone think it's a break? Sprain maybe?
