I am a 53 year old female and I've been experiencing nausea, stomach pain, hot flashes with sweating, cold chills and headaches all intermittenly ( every 4-5 days and could last 2 - 3 days) for over a year and a half. I've been worked up for cardiac (all the tests), adrenal gland, stomach with endoscopy, sonogram and CT scans. What else could be giving me these awful symptoms.

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
The symptoms could be due to menopause. Visit a gynecologist/obstetrician for further evaluation. Getting started on HRT might help in the symptoms are caused by menopause (which can be confirmed by getting hormonal analysis done). Get started on treatment as indicated by your examination findings/investigation results to help you control your symptoms. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any unusual/new/abnormal symptoms immediately.
Take care.

I also have similar symptoms which are due to surgical menopause but due to my cancer diagnosis I am not a candidate for HRT. I have tried the antidepressant therapy and the herbal therapy to no avail. Would there be any harm in using the synthetic hormone therapy or vitamins that are on the market. Thank you for any advise you may have.
