I got diagnosed with hsv 1 about 4 months ago. I didnt think it was a big deal. I had no symptoms at all. But now all of a sudden I have a blister next to my pee hole, and a couple small red spots inside my cheaks. They arent horrible pains, but it is discouraging. Why have I not gotten an outbreak for 4 months??? I got the outbreak about 7 days ago, and they dont seem to be going away. Why is that? and the blister has turned white, and gotten a bit bigger. I have been taking lysine, and that doesnt seem to be helping? Is this normal or what???

The severity, frequency and symptoms of genital herpes outbreaks can vary greatly from person to person.
They may last from 1 week up to 3 weeks.
The onset of initial outbreak depends on your immune system quality.
White blisters or pus like blisters may indicate bacterial superinfection of your genital herpes lesions.

Consult your physician!

are you able to get medication from your doctor to shorten the duration of the outbreak.
over the counter medication is abreva.
i thought hsv1 is cold sores on the lip, and hsv2 is on your private area.

ServiceU,
hsv1 is more often cold sores but can also be genital infection. Hsv2 can also be in either location, but is more often genital.

Both types can occur in both places and be transmitted through oral sex. They are different strains of herpes, but both are herpes, and will pretty much look the same. You can't tell if someone's cold sores are caused by type 1 or 2 just by looking.
