Today I went to the doctor because i've had a reoccuring rash on my right buttocks cheek. At first I thought it was shingles and I was confident that my test results would come back as "shingles" however I wanted to make sure it wasn't any other sort of virus on the skin. I was completely shocked when my results came back as positive for hsv 2. Is it even possible? I am a bit worried now because there was a time when I was drugged, however when I went to the hospital there was so evidence of anyone touching me when I was knocked out. Is there a way of becoming infected with the virus any other way because to my understanding there isn't . Please help. Thank you!
