I got a call from my doctor today with my pap smear test results. she told me that it came back abnormal cells and i have HPV. i think she said it is not cancerous or anything. my question is do all types of HPV cause warts? and is it safe to have sex with my boyfriend if a condom is used or will it make the HPV worse? i'm pretty sure i did not get it from him. i think i got it from somebody else. but he probably has it now because of me.

I have it too. No warts at all. However HPV can be passed through protected sex as well.
